Anna Jeretic lives outside of Paris in the French countryside. She is a prolific artist working in many media. This summer at Patricia Ladd Carega Gallery she will show a new series paintings. The work seems to tell a story as animals and humans interact in a charmed existence. Soft brushstokes and bright color combine on canvases that invite us into an allegorical world. A trip to Africa inspired Jeretic to paint lions, tigers, elephants and birds that she saw there. She also will exhibit etchings from that trip. Her exhibit will open on August 1. Work, however, will be available the opening of the gallery on May 13th. |
