AUGUST 13th & 16th: DELANIE JENKINS, “Mixed Tape: New Hampshire”

    Opening Reception: from

Mixed Tape: New Hampshire presents Delanie Jenkins’ most recent work exploring color, optics, and process using her time in the Lakes Region each summer as inspiration. With an assemblage-meets-minimalism sensibility and an accumulation of material, she builds layered visual fields that contract to reveal their singular elements. Process is key to her work. "Recent work address time, space and gesture using an overabundance of singular elements collaged on paper..." Opening reception Wednesday, August 13th: 5-7 p.m. Artist talk: 6:00 p.m. Join Delanie Jenkins Saturday, August 16th, at 10:00 a.m. for a conversation about installation art.

  2. September 13, 2014 thru September 30, 2014

SEPTEMBER 13th: GAY FREEBORN,  “In the Company of Dogs”

    Opening Reception: from

Freeborn’s paintings convey the motion, shape and appreciation she has for the animal. The use of under paintings, thinning mediums and thick over painting, allows her to use the canvas to sculpt her subjects in an unconventional form. Having grown up with Labrador Retrievers, her subject matter has been a constant throughout her life, reminding us of the special bond we form with our animals. Opening reception, Saturday September 13th, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. A portion of the sales will be donated to the New England Lab Rescue in Kennebunk, Maine, which serves Maine, New Hampshire, and the greater New England area.
